Overview

The Sword of Bellenesse has been stolen from the vaults of Sanamar. Agents of both Sanamar and Silyun seek help recovering the blade, along with a Gharu'ndim master weaponsmith. Who will you help?

This quest is not part of the Rossu Morta or Whispering Blade line of quests, and your loyalties will not affect who you wish to work with.

Walkthrough & Notes

1. Enter the Cave of the Escaped Thief at 71.1N, 50.2W.
   • Route 1: Mayoi to Lady Maila Estates portal at 60.9S, 80.3E.
   • Route 2: Stonehold to The Pit, jump to the bottom and take the Portal to the Beach Fort.
2. Hug the left wall to the bottom of the dungeon until you reach an Escaped Thief surrounded by 4 Abhorrent Eaters.
3. Kill the thief and loot The Sword of Bellenesse (drops 3 per kill, 4 minute respawn timer).
4. Return the sword to the NPC of your choice for a reward:
   • Bhravarn ibn Salizim for the Replica Sword of Bellenesse
   • Lucari di Bellenesse for the Shield of Silyun
   • Turien di Furza for the Shield of Sanamar
5. Optional: If you don't want your item reward it can be handed back for experience.

Recently, a sword was stolen from the Vaults of Sanamar, the Sword of Bellenesse. It is reported to be one of the most exquisite pieces of Viamontian Weaponsmithing of its time."

Bhravarn ibn Salizim tells you, "Rumor has it that the thief is hiding in a cave around 71.1 N, 50.2 W. If you could get this weapon so that I could study it, I will reward you well for your time."

Bhravarn ibn Salizim tells you, "Have a care, however. If you choose to aid me in this, you will have to find the blade before the agents of Sanamar or Silyun do so. I do not wish to get in the middle of their feud, and would not wish for you to be needlessly caught in it either. All I wish is a chance to learn from the blade."

Lucari di Bellenesse tells you, "We have not the resources to confirm this rumor, but, if you would be interested in checking out this rumor for Silyun, I can provide something in reward for this."

Lucari di Bellenesse tells you, "Go to the cave, find this thief. If he has the blade on him, and you'll know it if you see it, it is hard to miss, bring it to me. If this is truly the Sword of Bellenesse, all Silyun will be in your debt."

Lucari di Bellenesse tells you, "Be warned, agents of Varicci will also be seeking to return this blade to the Vaults of Sanamar. Also, I have heard rumor that someone in Yaraq also seeks the blade. The blade is the rightful property of the Duke Bellenesse. I hope, if you manage to find it before others do so, that you will return it to Silyun, so it may be returned to its rightful owner."

Turien Di Furza tells you, "The craven thief was last sighted near a cave at 71.1 N, 50.2 W and is believed to be hiding within. Find the thief, do justice upon him, and return this blade that was wrongly taken from this Kingdom."

Turien Di Furza tells you, "Bring the blade to me, and your loyalty will be rewarded. Be warned, however. I have heard that both Silyun and some Bloodless in Yaraq also seek this blade. They must not be allowed to gain that which is rightfully Sanamar's."

Down Twisting Paths Quest introduced. Reforging the Past Main XP reward increased from 3,500,000 (5% up to level 101) to to 40,000,000 (100% up to level 87). Repeat timer moved from picking up the sword to turning in the sword. Learning From Experience Main XP reward increased from 40,000,000 (100% up to level 87) to 79,000,000 (115% up to level 100). The Quest for Freedom Repeat timer changed from 27 days to 20 hours.
