Ithaenc Quiddity Ingot Purification
Level: 150
Type: Solo
Starts At: Dark Isle at 85.4N, 57.2E
Repeat: 20 Hours

Overview Edit

  • The Purified Quiddity Ingot obtained from this quest was originally used in the Aerbax's Citadel quest when it first went live. These days the Purified Ingot has no known use.
Prerequisites
  • You must have done the Ithaenc Quiddity Seed Quest Quest before doing this quest in order to have the Quiddity Ingot (Ithaenc) you need for this quest. The Ithaenc Ingot is the one that says it "glows with a deep red light" in its description. You must use that ingot and not the ingots from the other two Quiddity Seed quests.
  • You must have access to the Dark Isle to enter the dungeon.

Walkthrough & Notes Edit

  1. Proceed through the dungeon filled with Sclavus (that cast Poison Health), Ghosts, and some Remoran. Through the dungeon you will encounter three major obstacles besides the normal dungeon creatures.
  2. First obstacle is a lava pit with some small platforms hovering over it. You must jump from platform to platform to reach of the exit on the other side of the pit. Mostly long jumps are required, not shift jumps. If you fall it is easy to get back up and try again but note that the lava does about 40 damage per hit.
  3. Second obstacle is a large room overflowing with Sishalti tentacles. You have to clear the way through the room and hallway to get past them. A mage with Tusker Fists helps a lot here.
  4. Third, and last, obstacle is a room with a hidden, winding path over a another lava pit. It may appear you have to jump but you don't. Just feel your way across the invisible bridge to the exit in the opposite corner of the room.
  5. You'll arrive in the last area and see a bridge over a lava pit with a locked door on the other side. You don't need lockpick here. Simply jump from ledge you're on to ledge on the other side of the bridge on either side of the locked door.
    • Warning: In the next step do not use the Well of Blood or it will just kill you. Only hand your ingot to the Well.
  6. Enter the room on the side of the bridge (its filled with tentacles) and give your Quiddity Ingot to the Well of Blood at the back of the room to receive experience and a Purified Quiddity Ingot (Ithaenc). You are now done, portal recall or use the nearby surface portal that takes you back to the The Deep

Dialog Edit

Opening Dialog Edit

You allow Hoshino Kei to examine your Quiddity Ingot.
Hoshino Kei tells you, "This ingot is attuned to the power of Shadow. The being it is most similar to is Bael'zharon. To purify it, one would need access to a power that is similarly dark, but not allied with Shadow. I would suggest inquiring with the Deep - its appetite for destruction is unparalleled, yet it fights Shadow as surely as those who follow the Light."
Hoshino Kei tells you, "Note that the journey to the Deep is dangerous - only the strongest heroes should consider purifying this ingot."

Giving Quiddity Ingot to Well of Blood Edit

You give Well of Blood Quiddity Ingot.
You immerse the ingot within the well of blood. The ingot's glow changes from red to purple.
Well of Blood gives you Purified Quiddity Ingot.
You've earned 197,347,085 experience.

Showing Purified Ithaenc Quiddity Ingot to Hoshino Kei Edit

You allow Hoshino Kei to examine your Purified Quiddity Ingot.
Hoshino Kei tells you, "This ingot is attuned to the power of Shadow, but it has been purified already. You need not do anything else with this ingot, except wait for an opportunity for it to be used."
