== Permabuff Bug to be Fixed == {{Microsoft Zone | Link = <nowiki>http://classic.zone.msn.com/asheronscall/news/ASHEpermabuff.asp</nowiki> | Date = October 30, 2000 | Title = Permabuff Bug to be Fixed | Text = At this time, we are aware that a bug exists in the game allowing players to permanently buff (that is, to raise the attributes through spells of) their items. This bug will be fixed shortly, and will be retroactive; items affected by this bug will lose the positive effects of the bug. <br><br> In the meantime, as with any bug, please bear in mind that this is an untested aspect of the game. Players utilizing the bug's effects do so at their own risk. As such, they may find that exploiting this bug will result in undesirable permanent effects. <br><br> As always, our highest concern is players' enjoyment of the game. We do apologize for any inconvenience this bug fix may cause. However, the bug was never intended to be a feature of the game, and its removal will help even game play for all players. Be sure to check the [[Announcements - 2000/10 - Hollow Victory#State of the Code|<font color=#FFFFCC>State of the Code</font>]] and State of the Network for further word on this important issue. }}
