== Process == === Step 1 - Extraction Token === Begin by going to Aelira in Asheron's Castle. It is recommended that you have 1,000,000 Luminance banked for Step 2, as that will be needed immediately following payment of the Alt Currency. Choose between giving Aelira either: *1 Stipend or 1000 Promissory Notes This will allow you to collect one Token from the shelves in her room. *If you accidentally pick-up the wrong Token, do not turn it in. Choose the correct Token and turn that in instead. All Tokens will be removed from your inventory at turn-in. *Choose a Token that matches the set for the piece of armor you wish to enchant. You cannot exchange the Extraction Gem if you turn in the wrong Token to Aelira. {| class="wikitable mw-collapsible" ! colspan="1" | Extraction Tokens |- | Luminous Adept's Token of Extraction |- | Luminous Archer's Token of Extraction |- | Luminous Soldier's Token of Extraction |- | Luminous Defender's Token of Extraction |- | Luminous Hearty Token of Extraction |- | Luminous Wise Token of Extraction |- | Luminous Dexterous Token of Extraction |- | Luminous Swift Token of Extraction |} === Step 2 - Extraction Gem === Give the chosen Token to Aelira, and at the cost of 1,000,000 Luminance, she will charge an Extraction Gem. Lifestone Shard Collectors that are not currently on cooldown, will receive a Luminous Armor Crystal (Attuned) (more on these in Step 4) in addition to the Extraction Gem. There is a limit of 5 Extraction Gems per week. {| class="wikitable" |+ Extraction Gems |- | Luminous Adept's Extraction Gem |- | Luminous Archer's Extraction Gem |- | Luminous Soldier's Extraction Gem |- | Luminous Defender's Extraction Gem |- | Luminous Hearty Extraction Gem |- | Luminous Wise Extraction Gem |- | Luminous Dexterous Extraction Gem |- | Luminous Swift Extraction Gem |} The purpose of an Extraction Gem is to destroy suitable armor to create Armor Remnants. There are 2 versions of each Extraction Gem, and you can tell the difference between them by looking at the description. * Extraction Gem marked with a Sword - is for extracting armor with +1-2 Crit Dmg rating. * Extraction Gem marked with a Shield - is for extracting armor with a +1-2 Crit Dmg Resist rating. Extraction Gems can be exchanged with Aelira as needed to match the type of rating on the armor you want to extract in the following step. === Step 3 - Armor Remnants === Use caution: This step requires the permanent and irreversible destruction of a piece of armor. Apply the Extraction Gem to a matching piece of set armor. Only certain pieces of armor are acceptable targets for the destruction process: * Is not Retained * Armor Set matches the set on the Extraction Gem * Spellcraft must be 370+ * Must have +1-2 rating. If target armor is: ** Crit Dam, use the Extraction Gem marked with a sword ** Crit Dam Resist, use the Extraction Gem marked with a shield ** Aelira will exchange your Extraction Gem for the correct type ** Which Extraction Gem (CD or CDR) is used has no impact on the Armor Remnant. When you have successfully used the Extraction Gem, you will create an Armor Remnant. {| class="wikitable" |+ Armor Remnants |- | Adept's Armor Remnant |- | Archer's Armor Remnant |- | Soldier's Armor Remnant |- | Defnder's Armor Remnant |- | Hearty Armor Remnant |- | Wise Armor Remnant |- | Dexterous Armor Remnant |- | Swift Armor Remnant |} Repeat Steps 1-3 until you have 5 matching Armor Remnants. === Step 4 - Luminous Enchantment === Use a Luminous Armor Crystal to fuse 5 matching Armor Remnants together into a Luminous Enchantment. * Lifestone Shard Collectors can received 1 free Luminous Armor Crystal (Attuned) per month when charging an Extraction Gem with Aelira. ** Aelira will not give you a 2nd Luminous Armor Crystal (Attuned) if you still have one in your inventory. These free crystals cannot be banked up. * You can purchase a Luminous Armor Crystal from Valorian as often as you need. {| class="wikitable" |+ Luminous Enchantments |- | Luminous Adept's Enchantment |- | Luminous Archer's Enchantment |- | Luminous Soldier's Enchantment |- | Luminous Defnder's Enchantment |- | Luminous Hearty Enchantment |- | Luminous Wise Enchantment |- | Luminous Dexterous Enchantment |- | Luminous Swift Enchantment |} === Step 5 - Offense or Defense Augmentation === This step can be done at any time. It is independant of the other steps. Now that you have your Enchantment, it's time to augment it for +1 Crit Dam (Offense) or +1 Crim Dam Resist (Defense). Complete the necessary quests to: # Obtain a Blank Augmentation Gem # Gain access to a Faction Chapterhouse: Rossu Morta Chapterhouse or Whispering Blade Chapterhouse Within the Chapterhouse, locate the room containing Garrin Farrow and Eleera Farrow and give them your Blank Augmentation Gem depending on the armor being upgraded: {| class="wikitable" |+ Augmentations |- ! Augmentation |- | Eleera Farrow || Offense || +1 Crit Dam || Offensive Armor Remnant Augmentation |- | Garrin Farrow || Defense || +1 Crit Dam Resist || Defensive Armor Remnant Augmentation |} === Step 6 - Luminous Armor Enchantment === Apply the Augmentation to your Enchantment and you have completed the Luminous Armor Enchantment. It is now ready to apply to a matching piece of armor. *This final Luminous Armor Enchantment is not attuned. It can be given to another character to upgrade their armor. *Once applied, the piece of Luminous Armor can only be equipped by the character which applied it. It should only be applied by the character that will be wearing the armor being upgraded. {| class="wikitable" |+ Luminous Offense/Defense Enchantments |- ! Offense (Crit Dam) !!
