== New Dialog == ;Bluespire, Greenspire, and Redspire Town Criers {{Dialog| |Town Crier tells you, "Deep in the forests on the plateau, I have received word of glints of steel, surrounded by a purplish glow. I shudder to think at what new weapons of destruction are used up there. *Shivers*" |Town Crier tells you, "The Tumeroks here are split into two warring tribes. The ones up on the plateau are funny sorts. Actually, they're rather nice. Bit preachy. The ones down here though, the ones that look like the ones on Dereth... *shudder*" |Town Crier tells you, "News! Burn and electrocution victims have been limping back into town for weeks. We have not yet determined what out in the wilderness could cause this much agony." |Town Crier tells you, "I don't know why the Tumeroks up on the plateau look different. We've noticed that the ones in Ahruenga - that's their town on the west coast - are a bit bent. And that chief of theirs is... worrying. Don't tell them I said any of this. There are stories..." |Town Crier tells you, "We've heard reports of a new Mattekar roaming the northern parts of the island. I've heard some unscruplous folks are already trying to find ways of processing the hide. The poor, poor mattie." |Town Crier tells you, "We sent a few scouts up on the plateau recently. They reported a bunch of the old menhir rings standing up there. The funny Tumeroks even built their town around one. They seem awfully interested in them, if you ask me." |Town Crier tells you, "We've heard from the Tumies that there are some massive Empyrean ruins up on the plateau. None of us have seen them yet, though. I think they called them "walls to stay the water."" |Town Crier tells you, "News! Travelers beware! Tumerok factions are battling for possession of the island! Do not get caught in the crossfire! Adventure in groups! Ration your supplies! Watch your pyreals!" |Town Crier tells you, "I hear this island used to be called Marae Lassel. It sounds Viamontian to me. A snooty lot, eh?" |Town Crier tells you, "The great years are gone, if you ask me. Where can you find the like of Wari al-Sha'im these days, or Lord Cragstone, or Saint Elysa? Ah, I tell you, if the Olthoi could produce another queen, many would die before she could be defeated." |Town Crier tells you, "Behdo Yii in Redspire is looking for assistance to help clear out an abandoned Tumerok Outpost. Please help him!" |Town Crier tells you, "We've had a lot of problems with brigands lately. Not just us, for that matter. The Tumies are bedeviled by them too. Queen Elysa's Advocates think they're coming from Vesayen. Doesn't it just figure? MacNiall and McNeill cause trouble wherever they go." |Town Crier tells you, "We don't go up on the plateau much. It's riddled with Olthoi hives, and the land is...queer. Everything is overgrown with patches of fungus, like you find in Olthoi tunnels. It's almost as if it's been changed to suit them. The bugs up there do seem smarter, but not enough to do something that big. Our sage likes to call it an "infection."" |Town Crier tells you, "There is something that I don't trust about that Britana. Beautiful, you say? Like a black widow spider, perhaps." |Town Crier tells you, "I wonder how Flufens is faring? It has been many weeks since she started her farm out by the western shore." |Town Crier tells you, "Watch out for the Tumerok they call Tuperea. He's a hunter, we think. He has a pack of trained reedsharks that he uses to flush the siraluun from cover. But to that one, everything is prey - including you." |Town Crier tells you, "Have you just arrived? Have you SEEN the Tumies up on the plateau? Sweet mothers, I didn't even recognize them! They have... have TAILS! And their magic is different from ours!" ;Aun Town Crier |Aun Town Crier tells you, "I will tell you this, tailless one. There are spirits of this island older than our xutas, and older than the ones who came here, built their works, and left again. You may not hear them, but the shamans of the Aun xuta do. You and I have walked under only a handful of moons, but they have stood here since before the moons first rose, and before madness and clarity came." |Aun Town Crier tells you, "Each day brings more Isparian settlers to the islands. Our Tah is now in council to discuss how this influx will affect our kind." |Aun Town Crier tells you, "News! A search party has left to find that traitor Hea Toneawa. We believe he is trying to corrupt our younger members to the Hea's blasphemous ways." |Aun Town Crier tells you, "Many flights of the moons ago, tall towers of alabaster stood upon the back of great Palenqual. In many of these were hung great metal objects that would speak in mighty tongues at the rising and going down of the sun. So did the ones who came here greet the lights they once served. So have the spirits of this land told us." |Aun Town Crier tells you, "Aun Ralirea spends all his time in the wilds of the plateau, among the nuuani. He hunts for our xuta, and they are a worthy food for ritual. You call them gromnies, I think. An undignified name for the race. Ah, but I can see you do not know them as we do." |Aun Town Crier tells you, "This place is sad. Many moons have flown since the teachers fled, and the mother who lost her name was taken away. If you are wise, you will walk softly here, lest you too lose your name." |Aun Town Crier tells you, "Our shamen have piled their kindling within the six stone circles of this plateau. One of these lies close at hand, for we built Timaru itself around it. Should the circles be broken, or should our shamen cease their drumming, the shadow of Wharu's children will overrun Palenqual, and eat the sun. But should that happen, the luan societies have already said that they should be pleased to fight in the shade." |Aun Town Crier tells you, "When Wharu had been driven from the back of Palenqual, our mightiest luan warriors girded themselves and descended into the hives, seeking their great mother. In the deepest hive, far underground, she was found and slain. One alone there was. As, I am told, there was one alone on the island now held by the Ispar xuta. The great mothers of the Wharu are fierce and territorial. They do not suffer each other easily." |Aun Town Crier tells you, "Beyond our lands, you must beware the raiders of the Hea xuta. Any Hea you see beyond their hovel of Ahruenga will be your enemy. The worst of the lot are Hea Temenua and his band, who prowl the plateau seeking to impose the will of the mad child Aranpuh. They base themselves in the southwest, but range far and wide." |Aun Town Crier tells you, "News! Carenzi has invaded one of our sacred shrines. Papileona is requesting urgent help in its restoration." |You give Aun Town Crier Pyreal. |Aun Town Crier tells you, "Child, the Tonk have no need of material goods to share information. We are happy to relate our news of importance. However, we do need assistance in defending ourselves from the numerous Hea rebels. I will take your gift as support of the cause. Thank you!" ;Hea Town Crier |Hea Town Crier tells you, "News! More Hea are leaving the island than ever before! All Hea who wish to rejoin with our brethren in Osteth must first fullfill their obligations to the atual arutoa." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "The poacher Aun Ralirea vexes our tah. He hunts the things you call gromnies, up among their lairs on the plateau. Hea Arantah has set aside a great reward for the one who brings him proof of Ralirea's demise. I suppose he would even grant it to a soft one like you, if you managed it. But don't try to decieve our glorious tah by claiming the deed of another! He can read your keh like the speeding clouds and the leaping fish." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "News! A search party has been sent for Hea Toneawa. We believe he is consorting with the enemy." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "The wretched Aun quiver in fear of Wharu's might. His hoardes can eat the heart from the mightiest lodge's supports, and sweep the land of all but the bare stone and clean white bones. Aun drummers alone hold his divine shadow from swallowing the sun. But he shall be freed - so the atual arutoa have roared in the kehs of our xuta." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "The rings the Aun shamen use are old and weak, like their arrogant tah. Every time the shamen beat their drums, the stones tremble. All that would be required to break them is a greater noise than that of Aun drums. Our glorious tah, Hea Arantah, would be much pleased if this were done." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "Many years ago, when Hea and Aun lived together in Timaru, the atual arutoa greeted our glorious tah. The Aun were cruel and cold to him, though they will tell you otherwise. An orphan, they cared for him not. Starving, they feed him not. To Hea Arantah alone, chosen of the atual arutoa, were offered powers of great wrath, with which he lead the outcast and scorned children of Timaru into the wild. Forty passages of the moons later, he lead them back to take the Hea xuta for their own. Hea Huantah had his feet set upon the road, forevermore to be known as Tonk Huanpuh. Now the proud are cast down, and gnash their teeth at their own selfishness and cruelty. Hea Arantah is blessed among us. Blessed..." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "Hea Tuperea hunts for our tah along the base of the plateau. If you meet in your travels, stay upwind of him. His hunters are fierce, and have been been given their share in the blessings of the atual arutoa. Mighty and strange are the atual arutoa, who care even to bless the beasts of the field." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "There are rumors of Carenzi infestations on the island, but we're not worried." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "The atual arutoa watch over us, and our lands. You will not see them, but they are here, learning of Wharu." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "Wharu's children are diligent. Their mother will return. They will see to it. As will the friends of the atual arutoa." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "All Hea should report to Rangaua for briefing on the Palenqual affair. From this time forward the Hea shall have no traffic with the Aun." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "The Aun have placed a bounty on the atual arutoa, who helped us gain our freedom. Now the enemy of the Virindi are also our enemy!" |Hea Town Crier tells you, "The Aun xuta shall not long sully the lands which belong to the Hea xuta. Our glorious tah has set keen-eyed Hea Temenua and his brothers to watch the plateau. They will drive all from our rightful and well-earned holdings! Long ago, it was Temenua who captured the first of your kind that we met. She was given unto the atual arutoa, who said to us then, "Here are the ones we have gifted you in the image of. Behold! We will open Wind and Light to you, that you may go among their holdings. Bring them to us. We wish to understand them, and the one they are protected by." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "The atual arutoa watch over us, and our lands. You will not see them, but they are here, learning of Wharu." |Hea Town Crier tells you, "Hea Riketura has announced a bounty on the heads of our Aun brethren. Those who bring him an Aun birth pendant shall be rewarded handsomely!" |Hea Town Crier tells you, "Heed my warning, pale one. Our glorious tah, Hea Arantah, has gained many powers from his dealings with the atual arutoa. But he is... passionate. Do not meddle in his affairs if you value your life." |You give Hea Town Crier Pyreal. |Hea Town Crier tells you, "Bah, we are not mercenaries. Anything we wish to say, we say, coins or no coins. But I'll keep the money. It is the cost of your insult." }}
