{{AC2 Article | Link = http://ac2.turbinegames.com/index.php?page_id=142 | Title = Reedshark | Text = [[File:AC2-bestiary reedshark.jpg|right|300px]] '''Plural''': Reedsharks
'''Group''': Pack
'''Offspring''': Pup
'''Location''': Osteth
'''Natural Allies''': None
'''Natural Enemies''': Shreth

Reedsharks are three-legged carnivores that have hunted the world since before the Devastation. Capable of tremendous bursts of speed, Reedsharks run with their spines arched, spreading their dorsal crest into the air as a visible warning. Most active during the day, Reedsharks use frenetic, pack-hunting tactics to surround and wear down prey as opposed to the patient, nocturnal stalking of the Shreth (Reedsharks are natural rivals with Shreth, another top-level predator). While territorial like the Shreth, Reedshark packs claim much larger areas, which they constantly wander looking for intruders. Reedshark packs are typically led by an alpha male called a harrier. If the harrier is slain, the pack's tactics tend to fall into disorder.

While Reedshark pups possess the quicksilver speed of their seniors, they possess a soft and vulnerable hide often used in leather crafting. As Reedsharks mature, their hide hardens into natural armored plates, which fit together much like a fish's scales. More experienced crafters can work these plates into greater sets of armor. }} [[Category:AC2]]
