Mucor is a fungus which grows on [[Bur]]. It was created by "The Sleeping One", the Burun God, and the memories and happening on [[Bur]] were somehow stored into it.<ref name=ReportToNiarltah>2004/08 [[From the Darkness Born]] - [[Report to Niarltah]]</ref> The fungus is consumed by the shamans of the Burun for its power and recollection to the past.<ref>2007/02 [[Rekindling the Light]] - [[Enhancing Mucor#Lore & Dialog]]</ref> Burun have in the past been very conservative in the use of mucor. They remember the memories of their ancient ancestors improperly using mucor and suffering grievous injuries or death.<ref>2007/02 [[Rekindling the Light]] - [[Burun Weaponcrafter's Note]]</ref>
