And each in game week lasts 14 hours and 49 minutes. In lore, the system of time keeping used on Dereth is originally the system used by the old Isparian empire of Roulea. Roulea had spanned much of Ispar, and both the Old Roulean language and system of time had been used by traders on Ispar as a common form of communication. When Isparians of various heritage groups found themselves on Dereth, this language and system of time became the standard for everyone.<ref name=ZogblasterArchiveTheLandOfDereth /><ref name=TimeOfDayAndMonthsOfTheYear />
