{{Turbine Games Q&A | Link = <nowiki>http://www.turbinegames.com/qa/view_questions.html?id=1161</nowiki> | Title = About torches | Text = {{Turbine Games Q&A Question | Asked = 2000.11.03 | Player = Suff'ring | Title = About torches | Category = Items | Question = I read a question asking if torches will be needed in dungeons in the future......My question is, if they are, will you switch the hand it is held in, so that I can weild my axe and hack heads off while running with my torch to see where I'm going?

That would be a great help. Particularly in the Olthoi lairs which are extremely dark. I brought a torch there once and it made a big difference.....but there was no way for me to attack aside from using the torch.....which isn't wise.

Suff | Answered = 2000.11.03 | Dev = Sean. | Answer = You're assuming everyone uses their right hand to wield. Archers use their left.

While this is not a bias towards archers, since the torch is a weapon itself. You could swing it and do fire damage. Archers would have NO recourse if we switched the torch wield to the other hand.

The problem is that whatever we do, it won't please everyone.

Plus, no matter WHAT we do, there is always the "brightness" slider bar that will make dungeon-torches unnecessary.

So I don't think we'll move the torch to the left hand. }} }}
