There are many cultures in the world of Asheron's Call, and throughout the history of the game, different words have been used for the proper noun of the location, the adjective describing the people, and the adjective describing other things from or of that location or its people. This article will attempt to reconcile these inconsistencies.

The word first appears in game in the text ''The Reign of Alfrega''. Although ''Viamont'' was still used as an adjective, it doesn't follow the same pattern as it did in earlier work, and was possibly an error.
