The first Merwart to appear on the mainland was [[Merwart Mundagurg]]. He came to the town of [[Ayan Baqur]] to ask for help with combating some kind of Moarsman assault.<ref name=AnteRumors/><ref name=Mundagurg>2008/04 [[Upping the Ante]] - [[Merwart Mundagurg#Lore & Dialog]]</ref>

They often refer to Angry Grandfather, who most probably is [[Ulgrim]].
