* Despite the description saying you must use this manual "on" a bow, you simply activate this item in your pack while the [[Shadowfire Isparian Crossbow]] is in your pack to convert it to a [[Shadowfire Isparian Atlatl]].
* Despite having "unlimited" uses, this book will be consumed by the conversion process. To create a second atlatl, you must obtain both a second manual, and a second crossbow.
* The [[Shadowfire Isparian Atlatl]] was available in retail but became unobtainable in [[Master of Arms]].
