Thorsten was one of the early heroes of Dereth. He was an [[Aluvian]] warrior who rescued [[Elysa Strathelar]] after her escape from the Olthoi. The two became lovers. Thorsten died in [[0 PY]] during the assault on the hive of [[The One Queen]]. The Queen stabbed him through the chest, and Elysa retaliated with a single shot from her bow. The arrow, which was coated in an Olthoi-slaying oil, pierced the Queen's eye and killed her.
