{{Turbine Games Q&A | Link = <nowiki>http://www.turbinegames.com/qa/view_questions.html?id=750</nowiki> | Title = Hardware T&L; support. | Text = {{Turbine Games Q&A Question | Asked = 2000.11.01 | Player = Anodos | Title = Hardware T&L; support. | Category = Graphics | Question = I am a developer, so I know this is a biggy, and I am pretty sure the answer is, "No." But I thought it worth asking so others (who may not realize how immense a task it is) would know. Are there plans to use the new features in the latest DirectX, such as hardware T&L;? I have a GeForce 2 GTS, and AC is now the only game I play (because it is so awesome), and half my card is sitting there idle while my CPU is dying. I know that when you create your own software T&L; engine, it can sometimes mean a complete redesign and redevelopment to factor in a hardware T&L; engine, so that is why I totally understand if the answer is no. | Answered = 2000.11.01 | Dev = Jason Booth | Answer = The answer is definately no, as it would require a complete redesign of the core rendering pipeline. AC's rendering engine was designed before 3d hardware existed, let alone T&L; hardware, therefor it's not really designed with those things in mind.<br /><br />Future titles from Turbine will definately use T&L; hardware to it's fullest, however. }} }}
