{{Turbine Games Q&A | Link = <nowiki>http://www.turbinegames.com/qa/view_questions.html?id=3789</nowiki> | Title = Why is the game so dark??? | Text = {{Turbine Games Q&A Question | Asked = 2000.12.08 | Player = Velgar | Title = Why is the game so dark??? | Category = Graphics | Question = Just to start off, i sent this in twice, this time i put a question in the title so it wont be deleted like the guidlines said, but heres the quetion:<br /><br />Is it just me or is Asheron's Call a dark game in general, not the storyline but the graphics. When i got the game i saw all the pretty pictures on the back of the box and it looked all bright and cheerful. Then i found out i had only been playing on 1/2 brightness, so i made it max. That helped a bight, but still during the game the sky is not blue and grounds is not green, and the dungeons are not earie. The sky is a light to dark green, the ground is mainly black or a lighter green, and the dungeons are all black, except for a few. And worst of all darktide is compltely black for me, someone said it actually looks gray, but during darktide, im completely limited to doing nothing, except sitting in town waiting. Now i have the color set to max. What can be the problem? Mu monitor runs 16 bit color only, i tried 32 bit and it said i cant do that when i restarted, will a new monitor help? is there something i can do in-game? what? | Answered = 2000.12.08 | Dev = Jason Booth | Answer = This is most likely an issue with your monitor, but could be related to your graphics card as well. Without any specifics, I can't give a real guess, but I am betting you have a small monitor (15 inch?), as many small monitors have very bad problems with being too dark. Unfortunately this is out of our control. }} }}
