 | Question = The present state of items lasting forever affects the value of items and game play greatly as time passes. New players aren't playing the same game as those that started a year ago because of considerably better equipment being readily available. I think many new dimensions to the game would be added, e.g., revisiting places to refresh one's items' quality, quests to extend the life of items, etc.
