What began with a lost expedition ended up with Dereth changed forever. Foiling an undead cult's attempt to drain the warmth from the world unleashed a terrible danger upon the land. Soon, adventurers found themselves racing against time and their fellow Isparians in order to prevent an ancient evil from being released. And in the darkest of hours, only the alliance of a legendary sorcerer and three of humanity's greatest enemies could offer the hope of defeating the dreaded Hopeslayer, Bael'Zharon.
