Content Guidelines Edit

Equipment quality should vary based on the following:

  • Equipment that is Attuned/Bonded or only usable by the character that obtained it should be better than equipment that can be freely given and used across characters.
  • Equipment that comes from difficult quests - those that require groups or have very challenging creatures - should be better than equipment that comes from easier quests
  • Equipment that has a high degree of randomness to obtain it should be better than equipment that is easily obtained.

Armor Edit

Armor can be broken into 3 major categories:

  • Standard armor - average armor level, enchantable
  • Hollow Proof armor - high armor level, usually unenchantable, self buffing (covenant armor, olthoi armor)
  • Mage armor - low armor level, usually enchantable, and usually includes an enchantment that greatly improves AL (Heiromancer's armor, Perfect Light set, quest robes)

Standard Armor Edit

For examples of some retail content that this is based on, see User talk:An Adventurer/Custom Content#Standard Armor.

Enchantments Edit

The following are guidelines for what level of enchantment should appear on what level quest equipment.

  • Level 1: 0+
  • Level 2: 10+
  • Level 3: 20+
  • Level 4: 30+
  • Level 5: 40+
  • Level 6: 50+
  • Level 7: 80+
  • Level 8: 150+
  • Minor: 25+
  • Moderate: 50+
  • Major: 100+
  • Epic: 150+
  • Legendary: 180+

Armor

  • Head armor: 3+ enchantments.
  • Shields: 2+ enchantments.
  • Hand armor: 2+ enchantments.
  • Foot armor: 2+ enchantments.
  • All other armor: 1+ enchantment.
  • Multi-slot armor: 1+ enchantment per slot covered.

Clothing and Jewelry

  • TBD

An item may exchange number of enchantments for level of enchantments. For example, a 4 slot coat intended for level 50+ characters may have 4 level 6 enchantments and 1 moderate cantrip. Or it may have 2 level 7 enchantments and a major cantrip.
