To reach the [[Pumpkin King]], you must hand in a [[Blue Blanket]] found on the corpse of a [[Pumpkin Follower]] to the Arena of the Pumpkin King behind the Locked Door in the Colosseum. Inside is the Pumpkin King, [[Pumpkin Kin]], [[Pumpkin Vine|Pumpkin Vines]], and after you've killed the king, [[Villainous Scarecrow]] spawned. That's not true. You can fight the pumpkin without completing the Colosseum. What you need to do is buy one egg and give it to the Arbiter in the main room. That will flag you to use the locked door in the hallway past Diemos. That door leads to a room with the Mad, Mad Cow, the Pumpkin King, and Thunder Chicken. Give your blanket to the statue and you'll be teleported into the boss fight.<br>

Everyone in your group will need his own blanket, which indeed are no longer available. You are NOT permanently flagged by turning in the blanket and the quest is on a 3 month timer. You could try killing him solo, but you'll need more than a magic D rare. He spawns tentacles that have a nasty missile attack.<br>

Very correct. I believe you are only flagged for 24 hours as well.<br>

i think 24 hours is all you get. and unlike mad cow, you don't get the item back. so you get 1 shot per blue blanket. make it count.<br>

So much easier to solo than to have a group. And forget about needing rares.<br>

As an archer, when you're solo, the tentacles don't come out of the ground as long as you stay in the same spot that you portaled into. When the little pumpkins spawn, immediately kill them before resuming your attack on the king. They're the killers, not the King himself. Do that a dozen or so times and you've got it in the bag.<br>

but i still think it's much easier with a group... the tentacles can either be killed or ignored (they run out of mana and just sit there after a while) and Yertle... i believe they respawn no matter what. so kill them all!<br>

Walk Through

  1. To start you need to get a Blue Blanket from corpse of a Pumpkin Follower.
  2. Take the blanket and give it to the Arena of the Pumpkin King behind the Locked Door in the Colosseum.
  3. You can fight the pumpkin without completing the Colosseum. What you need to do is buy one egg and give it to the Arbiter in the main room. That will flag you to use the locked door in the hallway past Diemos.
  4. Make sure everyone has a Blanket, otherwise they can't enter the arena.
  5. Inside is the Pumpkin King, Pumpkin Kin, Pumpkin Vines.
  6. The Vines can be ignored until they run out of mana and become harmless.
  7. Make sure you kill the Kin as they're more likely to kill you and your group than the King.
  8. Once you've killed the king, Villainous Scarecrow will spawn.
  9. Kill the king and loot the Pumpkin King Token from his corpse and turn it into the Master Arbitrator. You get will receive xp, a title and the Pumpkin Shield as a reward.
