- The violet fires of portal space flicker within the gem's facets. They seem to flicker, however, and there are red highlights. The artifact feels as if it has been tainted somehow. The gem works best if used outside in a relatively flat area.

- Used to access the catacombs beneath Ithaenc Cathedral where the Shard of the Herald was once kept. The shard was the last of the Soul Stones that imprisoned Bael'Zharon.
