Aerbax has been a character in Asheron's Call since The Rise of the New Singularity, the 2nd story arc. It started out as one of the rogue Virindi that had gained individuality. When the New Singularity was defeated Aerbax found a way to rejoin the Quiddity without losing its individuality. In its earlier days Aerbax was responsible for the Virindi augmentation of many creatures and the creation of new servant beings. Most notable of its creations were the Dolls and Marionettes. Aerbax was also the creator of Martine, the augmented human, and Oolutanga, the augmented Tusker. Both experiments escaped and became major characters in Dereth.

At some point later, Aerbax discovered an “Energy Source” which it used to augment creatures and Virindi to new strengths. Aerbax had a companion at the Energy Source which it called its Mirror. It was later revealed that Aerbax’s Mirror was Ler Rhan, and the Energy Source was a Kemeroi. For some time Aerbax and Ler Rhan were rather inactive, with their only major activities on Dereth being the creation of the creatures which now populate the Valley of Death and the alteration of the once Virindi stronghold of the Singularity Caul into a place twisted by Shadow.

After the defeat of Grael, Aerbax returned to the story, featured as the major villain in the Favored Sons story arc.

Notes

  • Aerbax was only available to be killed once. After that it was replaced by Aerbax's Shadow

Need 3-4 melee's 2-3 archers and 2-3 mages.

First you will need to obtain the 3 gems from the virindi in the obsidian plains center. You can get here by useing a dangerous portal device at an allegances house/mansion. The virindi are high level and when attacked they spawn a group of monsters mages can usealy take them down fast. The three virindi are located East, West and south of singularity bore portal. Run past the bore portal and head to north might be south gate portal (three of them in one spot). Run threw dungy untill you get to the ncp's. Once you have your group prepared you will need to give them there postions. Mages should debuff/heal do NOT war. Archers should perch behind the mages on the bridges and on the wall on the first attack. Melee's stay on the platform and attack on the first run to Aerbax. When on the bridges before attacking melee's make a wall towards the end of the bridge more to the left side. Mages line up to the far left on top of each other. Archers the same but infront or behind mages (note mages can heal faster if your in front or on top of them. When Aerbax gets to a certain amount of health he will teleport to a platform in this pattern: center, west, north, east, south(hot drop)and back to center. When he does hes max health will be full but he wont be at the amount he was at before. If you die simply recall and go threw the portal at the drop. You only have an hour to kill him if you dont complete it by then you get a port under there platform and take high damage. When Aerbax is dead take the port and talk to the ncp's and claim your rewards.
