Used in the creation of a Scintillating Gem (currency for purchasing Shadow Armor).
Combine with another small shard to make a Crystal Fragment, or combine with a Dark Shard to make a Glimmering Gem.
Can be given to Asheron's Servant as part of the Asheron's Tower Guardian quest.

For several years Small Shards were a popular Trade Currency used by players to trade for items in game.
