A stout shortbow adorned with jewels and carvings of fish. Oddly, it seems to be unusually warm to the touch. These bows are rumored to be used by the fearsome Sword Squall pirates of the Ironsea. Of course, these are only rumors, since no one has actually seen a Sword Squall Pirate and lived to tell the tale.

Notes
- In Shedding Skin the stats were improved, including for existing items, see Corsair's Arc (Retired) for the old stats. Also no longer drops on death automatically, it can be protected with death items/augmentations.
- The weapon now levels when you gain experience fighting with it and gives bonus spells the higher the level.
- In Lost City of Neftet the slayer property was fixed to Niffis Slayer, it had originally been Sleech Slayer, an error as no creatures are classified as sleeches (all sleeches are niffis).
Many of the rare weapons did not have slayers originally. When the weapons were rebalanced they were set above max stats of a weapon. Slayers were added as a bonus, not as the main effect/goal of the weapon which is why they do not match the standard damage types for those creatures.
As for the Sleech issue. Back when they created Sleech and Niffis, both types had specfic creature types made for them which is why Sleech was even an option to put on the weapon. However, whenever the Sleeches were implemented they ended up with the Niffis creature type instead of the Sleech type. It would appear as though they were originally created off a Niffis and that the creature type was simply never updated.
When the person was updating the stats on this weapon he thought it would be cool to create the first sleech slayer in the game, but forgot why there were no sleech slayers currently in the game.
We will pick another slayer for this weapon, likely Niffis to go with the original spirit of it.
