Description

An area located 62.4S, 52.3W on the western edge of the Obsidian Plains near Wai Jhou.

Primarily a waypoint for players wanting to access the Obsidian Plains via a Black Hill Portal, or wanting to access the base of the Plains or Wai Jhou via the Small Black Hill Portal located on Black Hill.

There is also a tower here, often called the Lich Tower, that is known for being one of the highest accessible points in Dereth. Two chests are found at the top of the tower which spawn tier 4 Loot.

The Black Hill is one of the POIs indicated on the Ingame Map. See Points of Interest Map, no. 58.

Route

From the Desert March

1. From the Town Network, take the Annex (south) wing to Danby's Outpost and run to the Desert March Portal at 22.9N, 28.8W.
2. Run to the Black Hill portal at the bottom of the dungeon using these instructions:
   • North out of starting room
   • East at T junction
   • North out of every room that spawns Tumeroks
   • East out of every room that spawns Drudges
   • South at T junction to arrive at Black Hill portal

From Wai Jhou

• If you're tied to Wai Jhou, you can just take the Small Black Hill Portal at 62.0S, 50.0W then take the Black Hill Portal at 62.2S, 50.5W

From the Direlands Subway

• A portal to the Black Hill can also be found in the Direlands Subway; however, Lockpick skill is required to reach it.
