I don't doubt they exist Tlosk, just wondering if they're attainable currently. I've been trying to track armor maximums for a while now, and would offer a few observations:
If the armor piece is soft (velvet, satin, silk, etc.) it will have different maximums.
If the style type is not named, most cases it is platemail. Kote seems to be the exception as it is yoroi.
Basic types of armor named in loot, maximum, and difference from posted: Alduressa, 264 (+2) Amuli, 254 (-6) Celdon, 274 (-5) Chainmail, 220 Chiran, 264 (+1) Covenant, 499 Diforsa, 264 (+2) Koujia, 259 (-6) Leather, 201 (+1) Lorica, 265 (+1) Nariyid, 274 Platemail, 264 (-6) Scalemail, 239 Tenassa, 259 (+2) Yoroi, 244
With the exception of the leather, I have looted and kept a max piece from that list above in the last year or two.
In addition to the basic types, some maximums are determined by coverage:
Shields Covenant, 399 Buckler, 135 Kite, 164 Round, 163 Tower, 183
These are what I have looted but if pressed to guess, I think I recall tower at 185, and would bet kite and round have the same maximum.
Head Armet, 315 Baigha, 236 Bandana, 294 Basinet, 239 Beret, 292 Cap, 293 Circlet, 221 Coif, 228 Coronet, 261 Cowl, 291 Crown, 304 Diadem, 288 Fez, 294 Heaume, 315 Horned Helm, 252 Leather Helm, 204 Helmet, 258 Kabuton, 255 Kasa, 293 Qafiya, 294 Turban, 292
Above is only what I have looted and saved. I would guess all soft head pieces max al 294.
Gauntlets will usually have the style named (chiran, diforsa, etc.), but gloves, if soft, best I have is al 243 (I'd guess max 244 tho).
Feet, best soft boot I have is al 224. Loafers, 243 (would guess 244). Sandals can have the style named but if not will be soft, my best maxing at al 239. Shoes, 244 Slippers, 243 (243 is my best, but I'd guess 244 here also). Sollerets will usually have the style named, but if not seem to all be platemail (max 264).
That's all the categories I've been able to figure out over the last year or so. I welcome commentary, please. If anyone feels this info belongs in the main article, feel free to copy/move whatever over. I will probably do it myself many more months from now after I've collected a few more maximums.

I'm pretty sure I have some on an inactive mule account, I'll post some screen grabs next time I get on it.
Just like to open up discussion on the maximums.
If I find a piece greater than what is posted, I'll try to make a link to a screenshot for verification.
The problem however is for stated maxes that will never be found... can someone verify an al 279 celdon piece exists? On FF it's accepted max al celdon is 274. Same with amuli, accepted max is al 254. Platemail accepted max al 264.
A decent chunk are only understated by 1 or 2 points, so if no one has a big beef I'll correct those when I come back to this discussion, couple weeks maybe or so.
