Walkthrough & Notes

  1. Take the Neydisa Castle portal in Town Network (South Wing) and run north to 74.8N, 18.4E. Go inside the Mage Academy and then exit the surface portal, this will allow you to easily portal recall. Enter the Rogue Delvings right next to the Mage Academy.
  2. There are three keys you need to obtain, the Celestial Hand encampment is on the west side from the drop, the Eldrytch Web to the north, and the Radiant Blood to the east.
  3. At the end of each wing is a named Captain surrounded by Scouts that will give you a key (if same faction) or will drop the key on his corpse (if opposing faction).
    1. Donnarion's Key : can be found in the west wing
    2. Haroush's Key : can be found in the north wing
    3. Joroshi's Key : can be found in the east wing
    • Note: It is easier to recall after each key and start from the drop instead of running back through the undead (if you used the surface portal in Mage Academy as suggested).
  4. Once you have all three keys, use them to open three successive doors (color coded) to the south of the drop. Silver first, Gold second, and Green third. The doors close quickly (30 seconds).
  5. At the end of the south wing you will find Benedino. Kill him and loot the Lens of Filinuvekta and Benedino's Letter (optional).
    • Remember this if you pass through all three doors and die: the keys are on an hour timer, meaning you cannot finish this till an hour later if you die because you will need keys again to pass through the doors.
  6. Return to your faction stronghold and give the lens to your Inspector of the Adepts. The item will disintegrate 1 hour (or less) after it's picked up so you must turn it in quickly.

Celestial Hand Opening Dialog

Aldrion of the Celestial Hand tells you, "You have proven yourself to be somewhat useful to this society, but how trustworthy are you? There is a rogue agent, we suspect working for the assassin Oswald, who infiltrated our ranks and stole an important artifact: a fragment of an ancient lens that belonged to the Filinuvekta, a faction of the Undead of Dericost. We would like you to hunt down the rogue Benedino and recover the lens from him."

Aldrion of the Celestial Hand tells you, "Our scouts have run him to ground in an offshoot of the Mage Academy that Lord Rytheran of Menilesh established. Unfortunately, forces from the Eldrytch Web and Radiant Blood have chased him there as well, and Benedino exploits a stalemate among the three Societies. You must be the one to break the stalemate. Our own forces occupy the western branch of the dungeon. Seek out Captain Donnarion, and he will have further instructions for you."

Captain Donnarion tells you, "Aldrion sent you down here to hunt down Benedino, eh? More power to you. Perhaps you can bust through where the other Societies have held us. Benedino is holed up in the southern wing of the Rogue Delvings. You'll need three keys to get through all the gates to Benedino's hideout. I have one key, but the captains from the Eldrytch Web and Radiant Blood have taken the other two. You'll need to confront them in their own camps to get the keys you'll need. Rest here if you need to, but you should get going as soon as you can."

Khadira of the Eldrytch Web tells you, "Your first steps in service to the Eldrytch Web have been promising. We would like to see more from you. There is a way in which you might prove yourself worthy to become an Adept of the Society... We were recently infiltrated by some servant of the rogue Oswald... a rat of a man named Benedino. He stole an artifact from us, a fragment of the Lens of the Filinuvekta that is... most prized by our scholars."

Khadira of the Eldrytch Web tells you, "Our scouts have tracked Benedino to a facility called the Rogue Delvings, an offshoot of the Mage Academy that Lord Rytheran of Menilesh established. Unfortunately, forces from the Celestial Hand and Radiant Blood have chased him there as well, and we have fought ourselves to a stalemate while Benedino laughs at us behind his walls. You must break the stalemate. Our own forces occupy the northern branch of the dungeon. Seek out Captain Haroush, and he will tell you how to proceed."

Captain Haroush tells you, "So you're the new hotshot Khadira sent down to help, eh? That rogue Benedino has holed up with some of his henchmen in the southern tunnels, but you need three keys to get to him. I'll give you the one I have. The other two keys are in the possession of captains from the other Societies, who have occupied the east and west tunnels. You'll have to get the keys on your own and then confront Benedino."
