Walk Through
There are three NPCs that start this quest:
Bhravarn ibn Salizim - 21.5S, 1.6W (Yaraq)
Turien di Furza - 71.9N, 61.2W (Sanamar)
Lucari di Bellenesse - 87.3N, 70.5W (Silyun)
It does not matter which NPC you start at, but Yaraq is the best choice so you can take advantage of the nearby portals. Head to Yaraq and speak to Bhravarn ibn Salizim.
Bhravarn ibn Salizim tells you, "Salutations, friend."
Bhravarn ibn Salizim tells you, "I wonder if you could aid me in a piece of research, for which you will be well rewarded. Recently, a sword was stolen from the Vaults of Sanamar, the Sword of Bellenesse. It is reported to be one of the most exquisite pieces of Viamontian Weaponsmithing of its time."
Bhravarn ibn Salizim tells you, "Rumor has it that the thief is hiding in a cave around 71.1 N, 50.2 W. If you could get this weapon so that I could study it, I will reward you well for your time."
Bhravarn ibn Salizim tells you, "Have a care, however. If you choose to aid me in this, you will have to find the blade before the agents of Sanamar or Silyun do so. I do not wish to get in the middle of their feud, and would not wish for you to be needlessly caught in it either. All I wish is a chance to learn from the blade."
The cave is a long way away, up near the Beach Fort. From Yaraq, head to the nearby Khayyaban portal at 21.9S, 0.7W. In Khayyaban, run west and enter the Oriel Residential Halls. Upon entering, turn around, run up the ramp, and take the Mayoi portal to the west. From Mayoi run to the Lady Maila Estates Portal at 60.9S, 80.3E. This will bring you a short distance from the coordinates you were given. Run to 71.1N, 50.2W and enter the cave.
Cave of the Escaped Thief - ACmaps
Work your way down, hugging the left wall. Watch out when you reach the end because the Escaped Thief has four Abhorrent Eaters as guards. Kill him and loot The Sword of Bellenesse. Return the sword to the NPC of your choice:
