Quest Overview
This is the quest to open your Aetheria slots for the first time. For the creation and use of Aetheria see the main article.
Walk Through
- Speak to Cypher the Apprentice at 41.8S 15.8E in Xarabydun. He will give you an Aligned Mana Stone.
- Travel to the Empyrean Facility Upper Level, the portal is tiable and summonable.
- Route: Short run from the VoD lifestone (portal at Caul drop or after Aerfalle drop portal).
- The dungeon is divided into three levels. Your task on each level is the same, only the creatures differ.
- You start in a large room that has five smaller rooms with doors on all sides placed within the larger room. One in the middle and ones to the north east west and south. Enter each the side rooms one by one and kill all wisps that are present, once they are dead walk to the middle where there will be a colored mana fountain. Use the Aligned Mana Stone and you should get the message, "A shiver moves across your body up into your chest and quickly down through your feet."
- If you don't get the message, make sure all wisps are dead (they can get pulled out of the room if there are other players in the dungeon). If multiple tries don't work, just skip the room and come back after doing the other rooms.
- Once you've gotten the message in the north south east and west rooms, go to the middle room and stand in the mana fountain next to the portal (be careful not to accidentally go in).
- On the upper level this opens the 75+ blue slot (next to your head on your paper doll inventory) and gives you the Aetheria Mana Stone. This is a permanent tool you hang onto and you use it on any Coalesced Aetheria you find as creature loot or in chests to cause a random sigil to appear (ID to see what the spell does).
- A sigil rises to the surface as you bathe the aetheria in mana.
- Take the Middle portal and repeat the same sequence described above, this will open the 150+ yellow slot. Take the Lower level portal and repeat, this will open the 225+ red slot. Once all three slots are opened you are done. See Aetheria for more details on Aetheria creation and use.

Cypher the Apprentice tells you, "Use this modified mana stone when you're in the presence of a cleansed mana field in the facility."
Cypher the Apprentice tells you, "You will need to align yourself with the mana flow of each floor first and then the central mana field of that floor."
Cypher the Apprentice tells you, "The entrance of the facility can be located at 46.2S, 71.8W where recent exploration exposed a previously inert portal."
You feel a great swell of power rise from the ground beneath you, restoring 4 points of your mana.
