To add a news item, click the edit link for the News section and add your item to the top. Copy the code below first and paste it at the top after the </noinclude> tag.
News entries should use the following format:

When there are too many items for the main page, move older items to News Archive - 2010.

Bonus Quest XP Weekend - Link
Turbine has announced a bonus quest experience weekend starting sometime before 6pm Eastern on Friday October 1st and ending after midnight on Sunday October 3rd (sometime Monday morning). All quest XP rewards during that time will be increased by 50% for a total of 150% experience.

The September event Plans Within Plans will go live on Tuesday morning September 21st. The Developer Notes are also available including confirmation that Undead will be this month's new character race.

Wikia will replace Monaco with a new default skin this fall. - Link
Wikia has decided to move to a new custom skin this fall that will replace Monaco as the default skin for most Wikia wikis. Monaco will be supported for a time but will eventually be phased out completely. Monobook (which many ACCW readers use) will continue to be supported however there is no promise that it too will not be removed at some point. While the new skin is still being actively developed, you can get a first look here. If you would like to help beta test the skin and influence the final result you can apply here. If you have thoughts or concerns for our particular wiki please let us know on our forum.

The Asheron's Call Game Servers and the Accounts Server will be offline for maintenance on Monday, August 30 from 6:00am to 2:00pm Eastern. The forums will remain up, but players may not be able to log in to the forums.

Missing AC Subscriptions and the Account Management Website - Link
Turbine is aware that there are some unexpected changes happening to accounts, game logins and forums access. They implemented some updates to the billing systems this week and are working to resolve all of the resultant problems for everyone.
Turbine assures that the website issues are simply a display problem, which has no bearing on your actual account status. Also, your characters are all still there. For more details read here and here.

Playable Olthoi - Link
Players may be able to create Olthoi as a playable PvP style creature for the big November anniversary update, the developers have asked for player feedback here.

Developer Appreciation Day Event - June 14 - Link
On Monday, June 14, 2010, the last day of the Celebration, the Knights of Fortune Allegiance, located on the Morningthaw Server, will host an Asheron’s Call Developer Appreciation Day event.
All players, from all servers, are cordially invited to attend, or, host their own events simultaneously on their own servers. And, of course, the game’s awesome design team and staff are invited as well.
In support of Afsan ibn Kusain the Barkeep and others who have seen their lively hood fall to ruins following the town’s destruction by the Shadows and Bael'Zharon, the event will be held in Tufa, at the base of the waterfall, at 9:00pm EST (Portal to Tufa will be provided in the Marketplace during the entire event).

The game is being updated 5/25/2010 in an attempt to fix problems people have had connecting with certain routers. Turbine is asking for help afterwards in evaluating the results.
