Quest Overview

In Unfinished Business a previous live event was changed into a permanent quest. There is no limit to the number of people that can participate, however at least once person must collect three Summoning Rituals tomes beforehand in order to be able to start the quest spawns. Also most of the titles associated with the single month quest T'Thuun's Marauders are now available again as the Invoking Stones now drop on creatures in the three Pyramids in Patriarch's Valley. Also the portal in Eastham was made permanent and is always open in front of the Meeting Hall.

Walk Through

  1. [Preparation] - Take the Patriarch's Valley Portal in Eastham at 17.6N 63.5E. Enter each of the three pyramids (see below), and work your way to the top of the pyramid. Each pyramid has a unique Raid Commander, which drops one of the three Summoning Rituals tomes. There is no timer on pickup and they can be dropped, however you can only pick up one of each at a time. Once you have all three versions you are ready to spawn the quest.
  2. Once you have all three Summoning Ritual tomes, gather your group in the Patriarch's Valley (use the Patriarch's Valley Portal portal in Eastham at 17.6N 63.5E).
    • Note: The bosses are high health, so the more people you have the quicker it will be to kill them.
  3. When ready, hand all three tomes to Captain Tulmada, and jump down into the valley to fight.
  4. Killing the three named bosses spawns the reward NPC, killing the tentacles does not impact the NPC spawning, however thinning them down before killing the final boss will make it easier for people to speak to the NPC without being killed.
  5. [OPTIONAL] - Except for the bosses, the spawns inside the pyramids are the same types of creatures in all three, however they drop different Invoking Stones in each one. These stones can be collected and turned in for titles. Turn in to a Royal Scout anytime you get 30 of one kind, any stones over and above 30 will be taken and not counted (just 30).

Lore & Dialog

Town Crier tells you, "Sounds like all the investigations around those pyramids up in the north have finally led to something."

Town Crier tells you, "A way into those hovering pyramids has been found. It turns out all of those creatures who invaded our towns are in there working on those colored stones they were after. But be careful, most of those who ventured inside have not returned."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "The pyramids? I thought we had taken care of all that T'thuun business. And by we, I mean me, single-handedly of course, like every other threat that shows up around here."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "So let me get this straight. These strange unidentified pyramids show up and start flying around the landscape. Now you want to be portaled up into one of them to investigate? You're not familiar with the term 'probed' are you."

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "Oh, those servants of T'thuun are still kicking around making trouble, are they? Well, they better not threaten my stout supply again, or I'll smack 'em around worse than I did their master."

The Journal of Failed Vengeance contains a detailed first person account of the pyramid interior.

Notes

  • In Unfinished Business the quest was converted from a Live Event style quest to a permanent quest.
  • Some people have had issues with their repeat timer working correctly.
  • During the Stirrings in the Dark event the Pack T'thuun dolls were altered to now make them decay in 20 seconds if left on the ground.
