Question Title: Why the shift from Olthoi to Shadows?
Category: Backstory
Question: Back in the begining of AC, olthoi were the thrat and the reason of our presence here. However, all the events are centered around the shadows and such. What ever happened to the great olthoi/Asheron backstory we started off with? Where olthoi not cool enough?

Answer: The Olthoi are still a threat to the populace of Dereth, however without their Queen, they are no longer coordinated, and are thus unable to mount mass offenses against the Children of Ispar.

The Shadows are not suffering from a lack of leadership, and due to events which the players have participated in, are in an ideal position to strike. We could simply drop the Shadow storyline, however that would not demonstrate plot continuity. The Shadows are here until their storyline is finished, either by Asheron or by the heroes of Dereth.

Don't count the Olthoi out yet though. I'm certain they aren't done with Dereth yet.
