More Interactive Story Events?

Question Title: More Interactive Story Events?
Category: Backstory
Question: I understand that AC is a year old, Turbine has another project they'd like to focus effort on (two-point-oh), and limited time to work on these things, but it's been a while since we've had a truly interactive event like the Spire abductions or even the invasion.

Will we see any more of this sort of thing?

Answer: I think this question is mainly about events that require live GM's. We call those "Ops" as opposed to "Events."

Ops are notoriously difficult to run. Since they have to be done live, we have to document responses to everything a player might do ahead of time. We also have to make sure that people have a clear way to refuse participation. We can't just drop players into a hideous mess of trouble with no warning.

More importantly, though, such events can realistically involve only a dozen or two people per server. That's a lot of resources invested for something that won't be experienced by 98% of the player base.
