SoLL: An alpha tester?

Asked: 2000.12.05
Name: Taichi Yagami
Question Title: SoLL: An alpha tester?
Category: Graphics
Question: I can't help but notice the similarity between the Sword of Lost Light and this cover from the failed Disney movie, "The Black Cauldron"

Cover jpg is available at http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00004R99W.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

Was this the inspiration for the SoLL's sparklies? They sure looks familiar. ^ ^

Name: Sean.
Answer: Any similarity you see is coincidental.

That particle was one of the very first we did and was done by Joe Angell, who animated the human, as well as programmed parts of the particle system.

The particle on the SOLL is just a simple light flare.
