Why are so many non-chorizite item un-enchantable?

Question Title: Why are so many non-chorizite item un-enchantable?
Category: Items
Question: The way I see it, making things like GSA(with stone), Nomad staff, and the Shendolian shield un-enchantable makes no sence.

The introduction of chorizite caused for un-enchatability, but now iems that have nothing to do with chorizte are un-enchantable. You should include a good reason why they are un-enchatable, or make the items require chorizte in some way.

If you think they would be unbalencing then just lower the AL or damage. I know I would rather be able to enchant AL 150 or 130 GSA with the stone then have 170 and un-enchantable.

Answer: Because it's a handy way to fulfill our desire to add uber items without worrying about balancing them in light of item mages. A base 15-30 fire sword is cool. Allowing it to be buffed to base 25-50 is not.

Anadil's Staff, BTW, is enchantable.
