Conflagration

The Drudges have settled into Rithwic, maintaining their dam and inexorably draining the waters of Lake Artefon.

Rithwic isn't alone in seeing increased Nemesis presence. The raiding parties from months past have resulted in full invasions of sites scattered throughout Dereth. These invasion forcess are aided by ancient portal beacons.

These beacons allow the Nemesis to amass their forces from the far reaches of Dereth quickly and overrun a location with lightning speed, establishing footholds in areas that were once free of their influence.

Worse, a few Nemesis have been given knowledge to animate the remains of our fallen ancestors, disturbing their rest and driving these shambling remains against us.

However some wonder, in the brief respites between the incursions, if this is all just a distraction for something darker and more dangerous.

Only time will tell…
