Question Title: | Vulns vs. Protects |
Category: | Balance |
Question: | Sometimes I like to take portals for no reason and the other day I saw one so I took it, it turned out to be bsd so I tied incase I died, I went outside and was hit with a bludgeoning vuln VI. After I left and started to run to my regular hunting spot I checked to see how much extra I would take. I turned out to be I think 150%, now that seems ok but when compared to lets say bludgeoning pro VI, which is I think 60% there is still 90% more damage to be taken. IN THE FUTURE WILL THERE BE A BETTER RATE FOR PROTECTIONS AS APPOSED TO VULNS?(sorry for caps just wanted you to see actual question |

Answer: | As far as I am aware, the rate for protections and vulnerabilities are the same, so they should theoretically cancel each other out, not accounting for spell economy, which in PvM is always on the side of the players. ------------------ Addendum and a math lesson: Let's say I take 100 points of damage... Now let's say I have a lvl 6 vuln. 100 * (1 + 1.5) = 250 points of dmg Now, let's say I also have a level 6 protection up. 250 * (1 - 0.6) = 100 Prot hath canceled the vuln. |
