Shadows of the Past

I am Aun Tanua. For ages, I was a prisoner of the dark ones. For ages, both the Virindi and Shadows sought to pry the secrets of truth and light from my unwilling mind.

But I proved stronger than my captors, and now I am free. The dark ones learned nothing from me. And I learned from their torments a secret that Asheron himself never knew.

I learned that we must never seek peace with the other Kingdoms. I learned that death is the only just reward for treason to Asheron and his teachings.

The Order of Dereth has tolerated its enemies for too long. It is time to banish the darkness.
