- Since the Kemeroi usually corrupts the mind of any creature who wanders to close causing them to go mad, it is clear why this substance is rarely seen.

- This spell component has not been, and is not currently, available anywhere in Dereth. This explains in part why Void Magic was not discovered until Leafcull, 21 PY and only became castable with the availability of the Foci of Shadow.[1][2]
- This component can be seen in spell forumulae ID panels of some Void spells when no foci is held.
