Overview Edit
Completing this quest will lock you out of Abayar's Study until the repeat timer expires. If you wish to be able to hunt there, you must speak to Senior Sage Shibak. You may pick up the notes from Abayar's corpse, but turning them in to Shibak will lock you out of the dungeon.
Walkthrough & Notes Edit
- Go to Abayar's Laboratory at 92.1N, 46.3W.
- Route: Town Network to Eastwatch.
- Once inside take the first right hand turn, then head South until you cannot go any farther South.
- From there, you can go east through a couple of rooms, then turn north.
- You will then see a room with a door to the west with a dais on both sides.
- Go through the door, and travel down the staircase. Follow along until you come to a fork, take the path on the right.
- Then go down another staircase on your right, and into the Abayar's Study portal.
- Optional: Once inside the Study, in a side room to the right is a Crumpled Note on a table.
- Go north into the large room, and Fiun Abayar is against the far wall.
- Kill him and loot Abayar's Research Notes.
- Bring Abayar's Research Notes back to Senior Sage Shibak for your reward.

- You hand the Research Notes to Senior Sage Shibak and tell him of Abayar's fate.
- Senior Sage Shibak tells you, "Grim tidings do you bring this day."
- Senior Sage Shibak tells you, "Let us hope that Abayar's sacrifice helps to undo the curse we Fiun have brought to Dereth."
- Senior Sage Shibak tells you, "My thanks for your services."
