Overview

Kaytin and Master Craftsman Takahume want you to retrieve Gear Knight parts to help build and maintain friendly Gear Knights.

1. Gather parts from the Direlands Gear Knight Invasion Area (high level area) and Inner Sea Gear Knight Invasion Area (low level area)
2. Direlands Gear Knight Invasion Area (items worth 5 points each)
   1. Aetherium Power Core
   2. Aetherium Ore
   3. Aetherium-infused Gear
3. Inner Sea Gear Knight Invasion Area (items worth 1 point each)
   1. Gold Aetherium Core Fragment (possibly worth more than 1 point)
   2. Large Gold Aetherium Core Fragment (possibly worth more than 1 point)
   3. Depleted Aetherium Ore
   4. Scratched Gear
   5. Gear Knight Core Fragment
4. You are given xp rewards at 50, 100, 150, and 200 points turned in. You also get a title at 200.
5. Kaytin also asks you to get a Storage Box in the Direlands Invasion area, it is found in one of the little caves in the center.

Notes

• You're not rewarded for hand-ins past 200 points.
• Respawn timer on the storage box is at least 15 minutes.

Now that he is complete, and once again functional, we are collecting further pieces, to be sure that he keeps operating at peak efficiency."

Master Craftsman Takahume tells you, "To this end, I am rewarding adventurers for the collection of Aetherium Power Cores, Aetherium Ore, and Gears from the invading Gear Knights found in either the Direlands, or along the coast of the eastern shore of the Inner Sea."

Master Craftsman Takahume tells you, "If you wish to assist us, just bring me whatever Aetherium Cores, pieces of Aetherium Ore, or Gear Knight Gears you find, and we will reward you when you've contributed different set amounts of parts."

You give Master Craftsman Takahume Aetherium Power Core.

Kaytin tells you, "It is an honor to speak with you, small one. I am Kaytin, one of Atamarr's entourage, as well as his acting supply officer."

Kaytin tells you, "In Atamarr's quest to rebuild and maintain the rest of our companions, I have been given the task of collecting parts retrieved from those Gear Knights who are acting against this place and its people."

Kaytin tells you, "To this end, I am rewarding adventurers for the collection of Aetherium Power Cores, Aetherium Ore, and Gears from the invading Gear Knights found in either the Direlands, or along the coast of the eastern shore of the Inner Sea. If they wish to present themselves as enemies to the peoples of this land, they can at least be put to more productive use in deactivation."

Kaytin tells you, "If you wish to assist us, just bring me whatever Aetherium Cores, pieces of Aetherium Ore, or Gear Knight Gears you find, and we will reward you when you've contributed different set amounts of parts."

Kaytin tells you, "Also, if you are willing, I have a secondary task for you. The Iron Blade invasion in the Direlands will have a storage box placed deep in their defenses. It is common for their House to hide updates, orders, etc. in these boxes, where they will go unnoticed by invading forces."

Kaytin tells you, "Acquisition for me one of these boxes, and I will see what we can learn about their plans and reasonings in this invasion."

Kaytin sifts through the box quickly, pulling out several innocuous looking parts, and assembles them together into something reminiscent of a key. He then plugs the key into his torso.

Kaytin tells you, "It will take some time to decode this information, but I thank you for retrieving it for me. Allow me to reward you. I am told it is customary here, and the good Master Crafter has provided me with the means to do so."

Update History

Reforging the Past Quest introduced. Lay of the Land Tasks and rewards of Atamarr taken over by a new friendly Gear Knight, Kaytin.

Trivia

When first introduced, this was a server quest. When large numbers of parts were turned in, the Gold Gear Primus slowly took form next to Takahume. First the feet (1k), then the legs (10k), then the abdomen (20k), then the torso (30k), then the arms (40k), and finally Atamarr, the Gold Primus, was activated at 50k.

Once activated, Atamarr accepted the items and gave a quest to retrieve a Storage Box.
