Question Title: | Regarding: Timed Vitae - Beyond important |
Category: | Character |
Question: | "In short, no. Vitae will stay as-is. The previous design directly encouraged people to NOT play the game." - Stormwaltz Whoa, excuse me? You never say no; you ask for clearification, you ask why. The previous design encouraged people not to play? Precisely. It lowers lag by lowering the population while still keeping us playing and paying for the game. You haven't a clue how much trouble a vitae penalty causes at my house; my brother is ADDICTED to your game. Now heres the thing, my parents have no intention of removing him from it, because they have taken advantage of it by forcing him to do his homework before AC. Heres the problem, he dies alot in the game. Alot; and he can't handle it! I can't, my character has had over 800 deaths and I could care less. Why can't he? Well he is timed, he can't play AC for too long, if his character has a vitae penalty he gets pissed off at the world; he becomes a jerk. Who does he end up yelling at? Perhaps the person sitting in the chair next to him, ME! If he could log in and find no vitae penalty, wow, what a difference it would make. Not to mention that I rarely play this stupid game anyway, plus whenever I do log in I am discouraged by my vitae penalty and think about getting rid of my account (yes my brother & I have seperate accounts); this is no threat, you probably don't care, yet its true, its fact. Besides I really must wonder where you base your statistics; you can't trust little site polls. What I ask is, did you truly get a representitive example of the AC playing population? echelon451@aol.com I am willing to elaborate a bit more if necessary, contact me. thank you |

Answer: | This is a Q&A; board, not a debate board. You asked a question, I answered it. If you disagree strongly, you should bring it up on a dev forum somewhere. |
