An Adventurer
Heritage: Male Sho

Associations: Jojii Zhen Gai, Ryu Jou Gai, Followers of Ben Ten, Celestial Hand, New Aluvia

An Adventurer is a mysterious but good-natured Sho warrior that follows the teachings of Jojii. He does not use magic. This is not for a lack of the mental faculties to conjure, but rather a strong sense of self-discipline, although he does not share this with many people. Likewise, he does not share his true identity, instead insisting that everyone simply call him an adventurer.

Natalia Brynmad
Heritage: Female Aluvian
Arrived: 2 PY
Went to Training Academy: Thistledown 15 PY
Associations: New Aluvia, Celestial Hand, Whispering Blade, Knights of the Golden Flame, Viamontian Rebels

On Ispar, Natalia lived in a small village on the border of Aluvia and Viamont. Though the village and its people were Aluvian, control over the village changed hands again and again as Aluvians and Viamontians skirmished. Natalia lived there with her father Bryn Graywulf and mother Natalia Donelmad. Her father was a cooper who also served in the local Aluvian militia. His preferred weapon was the mace.

One day, her father was taking her to a nearby stream to bathe and fetch some water when he heard the call. He asked Natalia what that sound was, but all she could hear was the water of the creek. He began to walk into the woods, away from the stream. Natalia told him that was the wrong way, but he did ventured deeper. He came to a small clearing containing the swirling portal. Natalia tried to stop her father, but his hand reached out and touched it. Lost and alone in the forest, Natalia followed her father.

The two arrived in Portal Year 2, in the newly built town of Holtburg. Natalia lived there until 6PY, when Tumeroks invaded and killed her father and the parents of the other children. She escaped to Rithwic thanks to the mage Celcynd, and lived there for many years. In Thistledown of 15 PY Natalia turned 18 years old and went to the training hall to become a warrior. After exploring and adventuring alone for a month, Natalia sought out an allegiance to join. K'ur had just recently arrived in Dereth and, looking to establish himself quickly, took her on as his first vassal.

He arrived in Rithwic, and soon moved to Eastham to train his skills. When he had proven himself to be a capable warrior, he was recruited into Elysa's Royal Guard. He was stationed in the Strathelar Castle for most of his career. After Antius Blackmoor was slain by Jared Kurth, Rithlar left the Guard in Snowreap of 17 PY. Bellator
Heritage: Male Aluvian
Arrived: End of 10 PY
Disappeared: Frostfell 11 PY
Reappeared: Coldeve 15 PY

Bellator, an Ancient Roulean word meaning 'warrior', was the name given to him at the Alamakhaida orphanage in Tirethas where he was raised. As an infant Bellator was discovered floating in the debris of a shipwreck. With no other survivors, the clerics of the Alamakhaida temple took him in. Bellator lived in Tirethas for all of his childhood. In his teenage years he roamed the vast Naqut desert working for various Gharu'ndim trade guild caravans. He eventually found steady work as a guard for the caravan of Syyidaaq's Goods.

One night they had made camp around an oasis. Being the guard, it was Bellator's duty to protect his companions for the night as they slept. As he stood guard, a flash of light and a slight crackling sound came from behind him, over a dune. He turned around to see a faint purple glow pulsing from over the hill. As he came to the crest of the hill, he looked down to see a strange rift. Curiosity got the better of him, and moments later, he was flung from portal space on to the Derethian soil.

Bellator arrived in Dereth at the end of 10 PY, when portals first began to reappear on Ispar. He arrived in Lytelthorpe, but quickly left to head to the busier settlement of Rithwic, and later Eastham. For some time, Bellator led an average life on Dereth, hunting for trophies, adventuring for Empyrean treasures, and training his skills in the wilds. But in Frostfell, 11 PY, when the Hopeslayer was let loose upon the world and the waters turned to blood, Bellator’s life would change.

Fearing the end was near, Bellator gathered up supplies and went into hiding. Deep in the swamps he discovered an ancient Falatacot temple. And so he hid inside, in an area unoccupied by the swamp creatures. Bellator would not return to the surface for some years, though not by choice. Sometime after Bellator settled in the depths of the temple, the way to the surface was lost, and he remained trapped until Coldeve 15 PY, when the magics of the temple reactivated and he was able to escape at last.
