Sawato has long been one of the more inaccessable towns on Dereth. Though it is located in the middle of Sho lands, it is dominated by the Blackmire swamp, and until relatively recently, there were no portal connections at all save the meeting hall exit portal.

Save a long run from either [[Yanshi]] or [[Shoushi]], the only way to Sawato is via the [[Umbral Halls]] dungeon.  Generally, people will take the [[Kryst]] portal in [[Shoushi]], run south west to [[Umbral Halls]] at 75.8s, 83.1e, and take the south branch to the Sawato portal.
