I can explain my view of the Call phenomenon in some detail, but I'm not sure you should listen to me. This feels like something that should be The Ice Cave book was written before we had RE, TE, and the OTHER ~E dating conventions (and yay! to Chris Pierson, who did them for us). 783 was, in truth, a totally random number. However, it can be integrated easily into the timeline, if we say the era is that of Rhethis Eipoth. The Ice Cave book merely states that there is, "a high probability of a catastrophic event arriving some time AROUND year 783." Emphasis mine. The event alluded to in the Feb texts is pretty clearly marked as having occured in RE 895. They were a century off. For beings with the lifespan of the Empyrean, that would be no more egregious than the estimate being off by a decade.

Note, however, that there are no dates mentioned in any of the other entries of the Ice Cave book. It is not impossible that these were written over the course of many years. All is happy and well in the continuity land...
