Keth al-Sheth asks:

Was Eaushi's "personality" based on a living person?

For some reason I've gotten it in my head that Eaushi the Trainer's personality was based upon copying the mental pathways of a living person.

Stormwaltz responds:

Ah... but consider...

Is it live, or is it Memorex?

For that matter, is it irreplaceability, or is it vanity?

Did you notice...

...that Eaushi never refers to itself as "I?" It says, "this servant" or "this golem." It's pretty clear how Eaushi thinks of itself.

Has anyone here tried to give Eaushi one of Mistral's [Tersicor] orbs before the quest timer has run out?

Eaushi the Trainer tells you, "Ah, this bauble was created by the Imperial Talespinner Mistral Tersicor. For many years he wandered the world, recording the stories of all its peoples."

Eaushi the Trainer tells you, "He disappeared from the palace at Tentael one cold night, just after Caerlin II had taken the throne. He left a note, saying that the songs of other worlds needed to be written, and that he would return in 2300 years."

I got that message last night while making my second Globe of Auberean.

Anyhow, according to our timeline (which has been debated in the past as possibly being 500-600 years off, I believe--I always had a hard time following that debate and as many of you know Ryan Idol wrote the original timeline), Caerlin II took the throne 2900 years ago. If the timeline is indeed off by 600 years, that would make it 2300 years ago...

Somebody is being cute

from webster.com:

mistral: a strong cold dry northerly wind of southern France

Terpsichore: the Greek Muse of dancing and choral song

Mistral Tersicor = (in a roundabout way) Stormwaltz
